Boost Your Earnings with Auto PHP Licenser 1.5

Auto PHP Licenser 1.5 adds automated reminders to notify licensed users about expiring licenses, updates, and support contracts to boost authors’ earnings.

As you may already noticed, we released several minor enhancements to Auto PHP Licenser 1.4 during last month. Today, we introduce a major update that bumps PHP license manager version number to 1.5. A new release introduces almost 20 changes and improvements, and the most significant is this one:

Option to automatically send reminder emails to clients about expiring license, updates, and support;

While most of developers offer lifetime licenses of their products, update and support services are usually time-limited. After a defined period of time passes by, user can still use his product, but needs to renew update or support contracts. Otherwise, he won’t receive new versions and technical support from software developer.

It’s no secret that such renewals play an important role in developer earnings. Hence, getting old clients to renew their contracts right before they expire is as important as receiving new orders. Our research shows that many clients don’t even realize when their updates or support expire. In other words, if users don’t receive new versions for some time, they usually assume no updates are available. On the negative side, it causes a loss in revenue for software authors.

Auto PHP Licenser 1.5 eliminates this problem by notifying clients about available renewals in advance. Just set custom notifications for each event (expiring license, updates, and support), and PHP license management software will send reminder emails to every client whenever needed. Needless to say, each event is fully customizable. For example, you can notify clients 30 days before license expiration, 7 days before updates expiration, and don’t notify them about expiring support at all.

Support contract verification and custom alerts inside your script.

Additionally, you can verify client’s support contract inside protected script. This way, you can display any type of alert inside your script when user with expired support runs it. The usage is very straightforward: just call support verification function and let it do the rest. And don’t forget to take benefits of newly added notification variables to personalize each alert! For more detailed examples, see the updated documentation and demo script included in Auto PHP Licenser installation package.

As always, many new features are available instantly. You don’t need to perform any manual update or code modification. Just open the Software Updates section in administration dashboard and click the Upgrade Now button. If you prefer to display expired support notifications inside your script, be sure to update PHP license manager user module, especially if you didn’t update it since the release of Auto PHP Licenser 1.4 yet.

Finally, all the new features are fully backwards compatible, which means even old scripts running version 1.0 of user module will work perfectly with Auto PHP Licenser 1.5 installed on your server.
