Dead Man Switch 1.1 brings all the little things that allow you to write a letter before you die and send goodbye letters to loved ones easier.
Today, we introduce Dead Man Switch 1.1 – the first major update to after death letters management software. Following previous maintenance releases 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 focused on performance improvements and minor fixes, version 1.1 brings further improvements. Let’s take a closer look at all these little things…
The most visible change that you will notice first is View Verification Reports menu, which is… gone. Don’t worry, verification reports are still here! For your convenience, we merged them with View Verifications section, which now displays all the verifications in a single place. Use it not only to view your recent verifications, but also sort them by date, IP address, type, and status.
Another important improvement waits at Database Cleanup section. From now now, not only you can enable automatic database cleanup module and configure custom removal period, but also set separate data cleanup intervals for each item. For example, you can keep verification logs for 30 days (since you probably don’t need them anyways). At the same time, you can store system reports for much longer (up to a year). This way, you can take benefits of optimized database and still keep old logs of most important events at once.
Just like in Auto PHP Licenser 1.6, you can also uninstall your own license now. This one is useful if you want to re-install Dead Man Switch on another domain. Just click the Uninstall License button and your license will be “released”, allowing a new installation on different domain (current installation will stop working).
As always, you can upgrade existing Dead Man Switch installation automatically. Go to the Software Updates section, confirm this upgrade, and enjoy new features instantly. Don’t have a copy yet? Get it now, before it’s too late…
